Admin Trainee / Junior Reception
  • Full-time registered traineeship - Certificate IV in Business/Administration
  • 8.45am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday

In addition to our business support and recruitment services, KALSEC also manages the reception and switchboard for the Kalgoorlie Business Centre and is the commercial property manager for Kurana Pty Ltd.  




The main focus of this role is to accommodate tenants of the Kalgoorlie Business Centre and Kurana properties, and provide assistance to KALSEC clients, senior staff and manager. 

Your duties will include:

  • Answering incoming phone calls, answering customer queries where possible, taking messages or deferring to senior staff when unable

  • Greeting customers upon arrival to office, answering queries and taking information for resumes/cover letters and temp registrations

  • Answering, recording and announcing Kalgoorlie Business Centre tenant phone calls

  • Greeting and recording Kalgoorlie Business Centre visitor numbers

  • Taking accurate phone messages and forwarding to tenants in a timely manner

  • Receive and sort incoming mail and package deliveries and distribute to tenants

  • Organise, prepare and register outgoing mail and packages

  • Completing daily open/close checklists, including picking up newspapers

  • Maintaining office services such as cleaners and maintenance companies, as required

  • Ordering office supplies such as stationery, equipment and furniture

Administration Support
  • Ensuring offices and facilities are kept clean/tidy, including reception, waiting area, kitchen, bathrooms and managers office

  • Ensuring drinking water, tea, coffee and milk are always available for staff, tenants and visitors

  • Sort and file paperwork

  • Assist Manager with projects, promotion, marketing and events tasks

  • Place calls, fetch/deliver items, and other general duties, as requested

KALSEC Customer Support
  • Greeting new candidates when they register and following-up regularly with registered candidates about availability

  • Assisting customers with updating resumes, cover letters, selection criteria and online applications for customers (under guidance)

  • Assisting customers with typing, printing/photocopying, binding, scanning, emailing, faxing and laminating (under guidance)

  • Receipting cash and EFTPOS payments and generating receipts

  • Maintaining candidate database, entering new registration and archiving employed temps
